No decision is born from one source.
PLANEJA ENGINE · 01/03
Before calculating anything, Planeja combines what the business already records with what happens outside of it and says where every signal came from.

Before you calculate, you need to know what you know and what you don't.
01 Analysis and research Researches inside and outside. 02 Mathematical engine Combines metrics from every source. 03 Routes and scenarios Creates reviewable plans.
01 · FROM WITHIN
The context already assembled by Conecta.
Sales, costs, campaigns, documents, and conversations arrive with their origin, freshness, and permissions. Research starts from what the business already knows to be true.
The Conecta Engine delivers this material already organized in the business context. An order, payment and contract enter as records, rather than summaries. Each reading preserves the date and link back to the data’s source. 01 Brief SALES COSTS MEDIA DOCS CONVERSATION BRIEF FACT + SOURCE 01 · FROM INSIDE
02 · OUT
What happens outside also enters, with its source visible.
Competitor pricing, sector seasonality, rule changes. An external signal is never treated as internal truth: it enters with a label.
Market benchmarks and new regulations arrive with publisher and date. Triangulation requires two sources before data becomes fact. Without the second source, the data remains a hypothesis and leaves the plan if disproved. 02 SECTOR PAGE VISIBLE DATE QUOTED EXCERPT BENCHMARK VISIBLE DATE QUOTED EXCERPT REGULATION VISIBLE DATE QUOTED EXCERPT RESEARCH SOURCE EXCERPT CONFIDENCE 02 · FROM OUTSIDE
03 · AI ENGINE
Every kind of question goes to the engine that solves that.
Comparing numbers is a different task from reading a 40-page contract. Planeja classifies the question and chooses where it runs.
Calculation goes to the Mathematical Engine, and search goes to the Conecta index. The long-document reader opens the entire document before summarizing it. The reasoning model joins the answers into one explanation. 03 CLASSIFIED QUESTION SEARCH CALCULATION DOCUMENT REASONING 03 · AI ENGINE
04 · FACT × HYPOTHESIS
What is confirmed is separate from what is supposition.
A plan can lean on a hypothesis as long as it comes up as a hypothesis. Mixing them together is how a decision goes wrong without anyone seeing it.
Facts, calculations, estimates and gaps receive different labels in the answer. A fact points to the order, payment or contract that recorded it. When an estimate becomes a fact, the conclusion depending on it is revisited. 04 FACT CALC. EST. HYP. GAP 04 · FACT × HYPOTHESIS
05 · GAP
What it does not know is also an answer.
Source disconnected, period without data, empty field. The gap appears at the place where it weighs, rather than becoming an invented number.
The response identifies the missing connection and what depended on it. If no method applies to the question, Planeja says so rather than forcing one. No analogy with another business fills that gap. 05 RECORD MISSING FIELD BLOCKED 05 · GAP
THE FOUR TYPES OF QUESTION
Different questions need different methods. Classifying before answering helps the right answer arrive. WHAT YOU ASK How much? “What was July’s margin?” Becomes a calculation, with source and period. Why? “Why did it fall?” Becomes a context search and comparison between periods. What does it say? “Does the contract allow a price adjustment now?” Becomes a long-document reading. What if? “What if I reduce the discount?” Becomes a simulation with a confidence range. WHERE IT GOES Mathematical engine Deterministic calculation over the data organized by Conecta. Context index Semantic search with permissions, recency and source preserved. Long-document reader Large-context-window model that reads the entire document without summarizing it first. Simulator Projection with a range that widens as the scenario moves beyond historical data.
Asking the same model everything is what makes generic AI miscalculate and invent clauses.
AI ENGINE
The question is classified before being answered. It's the difference between asking for a generic AI and asking who knows which tool to use.
Why did the margin fall last month?
CALCULATION Mathematical Engine recalculates margin by product and channel CONTEXT SEARCH Conecta index finds campaigns and costs for the period DOCUMENT READING Long-document reader checks the changed supplier contract LONG REASONING Reasoning model joins the three answers into one explanation RESPONSE The average discount increased 4.8 points and the variable cost, 2.1. orders costs supplier contract
FACT, ESTIMATE AND HYPOTHESIS
Three levels of certainty, labeled as three. A plan can rely on a hypothesis. It cannot arrive disguised as fact. LEVEL WHAT IT IS WHERE IT COMES FROM HOW IT APPEARS Fact recorded in the source order payment contract Comes with source, date and a link back to the record. Calculation derived from facts mathematical engine Opens to show the formula and the terms used. Estimate projected from historical data time series seasonality Always shown as a range, never as a single number. Hypothesis assumed by someone you the team the market Stays labeled and leaves the plan if disproved. Gap no data available disconnected source empty period Appears where it matters, without being filled.
When a number changes from estimate to fact, the conclusion that depended on it is revisited.

THE REPERTORY OF THIS CHAPTER
Research does not start from scratch with every question. Each method is used when its corresponding symptom appears. None is applied out of habit. STP Kotler & Armstrong segments the market before comparing an average that does not exist Five forces competitive analysis positions price and offer against those competing for the same customer Cohort cohort analysis prevents a good month from hiding a cohort that stopped buying Triangulation research method requires two sources before treating a signal as fact Seasonality time series separates a market decline from an execution decline Source tracing attribution links the result to the channel that generated it, when the source permits
When no method applies to what was asked, he says that instead of forcing one.
WHERE THIS HAPPENS
This chapter is part of the second engine. 01 Conecta
It brings the metrics spread across each tool and maintains visible source, access and gaps.
→ 02 Planeja
Absorb these metrics, calculate on top of the set and return revisable routes.
→ 03 Age
Executes the approved route with an owner, deadline and human approval when needed.
→ 04 Controla
Tracks the result, anticipates deviations and returns new context.
↺
The result returns to the Conecta Engine as new metric, decision and evidence.
NEXT CHAPTER
It researched. Now it needs to calculate.
Research findings become numbers with the calculation visible.
